Mary Charles and other BIBCO contributors:
Thanks for sending your stats. FY99 has been a good year!
In answer to your question about how to report "corrections", I can only
say that BIBCO stats have included the BFM category only for the
libraries who traditionally changed bibliographic records while working
in the now defunct LCMUMS. LC needed that number to include in internal
LC stats covering the LC database.
The PCC has never identified bib file maintenance in a library's own
system or on the utilities as a category for BIBCO libraries to report.
The BIBCO-at-large meeting at ALA in New Orleans included discussions on
reporting statistics, and the Policy Committee is expected to make some
decisions when they meet early in November.
Please stay tuned for further developments and announcements about BIBCO
stats.
