It was reported on Ain't-it-cool-news last year in October '98:
"Roger Corman will make history by becoming the first Hollywood filmmaker to
shoot a feature entirely in India with the English-language NIGHTFALL, based
on the Isaac Asimov novel, in Hyderabad in January." reported by Elston Gunn
So this would have been last January for a start date. I don't know if there
is anymore info about this anywhere else.
I saw "Nightfall" the movie on TV once... it was like a bad disaster film...
I guess budget restraints only allowed for 3 suns in the sky... the only
thing I did like about it was that they filmed it at Arcosanti, AZ... a
community created for artists. I originally saw an article about Arcosanti
in a FutureLife magazine that was published by Starlog Press in the late
70s-early 80s. The designer/architect (Santi?) used a lot of natural
material and a lot of freeform design.

<< Interestingly we just got the SciFi Channel magazine at my work
and next to a small article on the Bicentennial Man it's also mentioned
that Roger Corman is to begin shooting a film version of "Nigthfall" in
January. I know this has been adapted before, but I haven't seen it,
judging from reports though the new version couldn't be any worse.
