Due to technical problems at LC, the daily distribution of name
authority records contributed by NACO participants and LC may be
delayed. As a result, NACO
catalogers may find that the records they contribute will take longer
than 48 hours to appear in the copies of the national authority file
that are maintained by the British Library, OCLC, and the Research
Libraries Group.
LC staff are working with the three copy-holding participants to
find a temporary method for distributing the daily files. LC is
currently assessing the technical problem that has caused the delay
and we expect to have a permanent solution that will ensure the timely
distribution of NACO records soon. We appreciate your patience as we
work to resolve this with our NACO partners.
