Dear BIBCO participants:

I am forwarding this message from Jay Weitz, which most of you probably
already received on the Enhance List, as a follow-up to a discussion at the
May PCC BIBCO Operations Committee meeting. At that meeting, the hope was
expressed that OCLC would issue Enhance Guidelines for the new Encoding
Level 3 records, which will begin appearing soon in WorldCat. As you can
see below, Jay Weitz was way ahead of all of us, and has already
incorporated Encoding Level 3 into all the relevant OCLC Enhance Guidelines.

Encoding Level 3 records are explained in TB 236. If anyone has further
questions on this issue, please let me know.
