Reporting Success: Annual Reports and Statistics

Promoting the accomplishments of federal libraries and information centers to upper level agency managers can be difficult. Finding good ways of capturing and analyzing your accomplishments can involve quantifying researchersó use of reference services, surveying customers, and developing a variety of means to highlight the valuable services your library provides.

Join your colleagues for a guided discussion of

* developing usage statistics that truly justify your efforts,

* using statistical reports which can be incorporated into your annual report,

* analyzing collected data to promote your library or information center, and

* creating annual reports that make the most of your accomplishments.

Share your innovations with your colleges»bring samples of your performance statistics or samples of your annual reports to compare the best ways to help your managers and agency understand the critical assets they have in their libraries and information centers.
