In case you all are not C-Span watchers and didn't catch last night's
Democratic Convention activities, I just wanted to report that we had
a small presence!

Before Kristen introduced her mother, Mark O'Conner came out and
played the fiddle with a bunch of Suzuki kids . . . the jumbotron then
flashed photos of Al Gore, Sr. back in his Tennessee farming days.
The announcer stated that Al Gore Sr was a farmer and fiddle-player
and he loved music . . . "this is a recording of Al Gore Sr playing
his fiddle in 1928" (it actually was at the 1938 National Folk
Festival). . . then the recording that we burned for Al Gore (and
used on the Soldier's Joy site) was played, with the announcer talking
about Al Gore being a better fiddle player than his opponent and the
Al Gore Band playing "Soldier's Joy" . . . then a segue to Mark
O'Connor and the kids playing "Soldier's Joy".

Also, as Tipper was announced, she was drummed onto the stage by
Board member, Mickey Hart.
