Implementing the Revised AACR2 Chapter 9 for Cataloging Electronic
Resources: An Online Training Presentation

The Cataloging Policy Committee of the Online Audiovisual Catalogers, Inc.
(OLAC), is pleased to announce the availability of an online training
presentation on the changes to the rules for cataloging electronic
resources that were published in the Amendments 2001 to the Anglo-American
Cataloguing Rules.

The presentation is a PowerPoint slide show consisting of about 65
slides. The presentation is available on the OLAC Web site at:
http://www.olacinc.org/capc/ch9.ppt

The presentation describes all of the changes in the rules and discusses
           What's the same
           What's different
and What this means for cataloging practice. At the end is a section
which describes some changes to the rules that have not yet been published,
but which will eventually have a significant impact on cataloging
electronic resources.

The presentation was developed by a Task Force of the Cataloging Policy
Committee (CAPC). Its members include John Attig (chair), Ann Caldwell,
Robert Freeborn, Rebecca Lubas, and Steven Miller. The group wishes to
acknowledge the assistance they received from the Cataloging Policy and
Support Office at the Library of Congress and from the members of CAPC.
