Curtis,

You might give Rick Beaubien (UC Berkeley) a call about his example METS XML

Hi
Thanks you for your response. Upgrading to 4.1 solved the validation
problem on the Schema. But the sample file still does not validate.

sfquad.xml

"Unable to locate a reference to a supported schema kind within this
document instances"

The document contains this:

<METS:mets xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
           xmlns:METS="http://www.loc.gov/METS/"
           xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/TR/xlink"
           xmlns:gdm="http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/GDM/"
           xmlns:adm="http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/ADM/"
           OBJID="G3700 svar .U6 CA San Francisco"
           TYPE="Quad15"
           LABEL="San Francisco 15-minute Quadrangle">

bye
