I'm pleased to say that LC is going to begin implementation of SRW/U. We have a new guy here in the office, Corey Keith, who will be doing the implementation. Corey is subscribed to this list and he will be joining the discussion and probably contacting several of you privately. Initially, he'll be seeking advice on SOAP tools. Our plan is to implement an SRW client first, which we'll want to test against the existing servers. Then we'll build a test server, possibly with MODS records. After that, we're discussing plans to access OAI via SRW (with a gateway). The plans now are very rough but should become clearer in the next few weeks. We'll probably build an SRU client and server but it's not a top priority. --Ray
