Consultant with Dialog, for a presentation on Dialog’s NewsRoom database.
NewsRoom is the largest database Dialog has ever produced with over 6,500
sources of newspapers, newswires, newsletters, magazines, directories, press
releases, broadcast transcripts, trade and industry journals, and scholarly
journals compiled from Dialog®, DatastarTM, and Profound®. Dialog NewsRoom
is now available on all of the Dialog services – Dialog (NEWSROOM, File 990),
DataStar (NEWS), and Profound (NewsLine). File highlights include
consistent and detailed indexing, frequent updates throughout the day and the
ability to create one Alert Profile for all Dialog sources.
FLICC/FEDLINK will be hosting this
presentation in the Library of Congress National Digital Library Learning Center
in the Madison Building, at First and Independence Avenue, S.E., Washington,
