So something like:
?searchClause= dc.title exact ""
  & indexLocation="start"
  & numberOfEntries=10
  & responsePosition=1

And any non empty term given in the clause is ... ignored? an error?

So meaningless and all servers will return the diagnostic for 'Scan not
available for requested index'?  (I think so, though generating a list of
result sets is cute)
