Join Scott M. Smith, Westlaw Government Account Manager, for a look at
MyWestlaw Personalization, ResultsPlus display, and ALR / AmJur on
Westlaw.
Have you ever said to yourself "There must be a better way!"
With the personalization that is available through MyWestlaw, you can make your
legal research much more efficient and save yourself time.
Westlaw.com is the only legal research service that allows you to
tailor the research environment to your own needs. Going even further in
providing "faster and better" legal
research, the new ResultsPlus display
automatically provides you access to ALR annotations, AmJur2d articles, and Key
Numbers that are relevant to your case law search. Your case law search results
are displayed more efficiently
on the left, with words before and after your
search terms, and the related content is suggested on the right.
Speaking of ALR and AmJur2d, what can these publications provide for
you? ALR provides comprehensive treatment of
a legal issue, from both sides,
as well as a background and summary of the legislative and judicial
pronouncements on that issue so you won't miss an important case.
AmJur2d, America's premier legal encyclopedia, covers more
than
430 topics of federal and state law - civil and criminal, substantive and
procedural. Expert authors carefully review and summarize the entire body of
relevant law from all state and federal jurisdictions, going beyond the content
of the law and acquainting you with the spirit of the law. It's the one place to
go to gain a quick, comprehensive grasp of an unfamiliar legal topic.
