Hi Dieter, I've been pushing the use of MODS, or a MODS-like data model, for various free software projects. Examples: http://bibliographic.openoffice.org/ http://refdb.sourceforge.net/ There is also this related in-development xslt framework that will be able to format MODS records, among others. http://silmaril.ie/bibliofile/ I have been developing a more-user-friendly schema in relax ng that learns from the basic logic of mods, but is much more appropriate for the non-librarian, free software crowd (who in general find MODS too complex). I also think it might influence GUIs (such as OOo) based on these models. This is still very much experimental, but a schematic is at: http://www.users.muohio.edu/darcusb/files/biblio-schema.html Files: http://www.users.muohio.edu/darcusb/files/biblio.tar.gz I know nothing about Delphi, but I do believe it's a good idea to see where projects can mutually-benefit. What exactly are you planning? Bruce
