Hi David...Can I ask if these CDRs are used to archive the digital recordings of the cylinders you make? Is this your storage medium of choice? I am also undergoing an archive project for cylinders (not particularly rare ones) and I have chosen to purchase a server with RAID drives. My rationale is this...The drives are fast and large (I have 320GB which cost very little) they are treated as one big disk so I dont have to then catalog the CD's, they are divided into sub directories. The raid protects against any 1 drive failing (I can also backup to tape for better backup) And when the time comes, I can always easily move the recordings off this RAID server and onto some other server (or medium) using network file copy which is very fast. Is there actually any evidence of greater incompatibility with 80 minute discs? I don't want to switch to 80 min, but it looks like the market may be heading that way.
