There isn't a single rule in RAD (Rules for Archival Description) which is
equivalent to <abstract>. As you will be aware, according to the the tag
library <abstract> is often based on (well, abstracted from) <bioghist> and
<scopecontent> (at the fonds/collection level), or <arrangement>,
<bioghist>, <physdesc>, and <scopecontent> (at lower levels). Each of
these elements has a RAD equivalent, but let me know if you need more
details.
