We link to images in CONTENTdm from our EAD finding aids (see
http://www.lib.washington.edu/specialcoll/findaids/docs/photosgraphics/PriorandNorrisPHColl583.xml)
as an example). However, we were told early on that we couldn't use a
static URL to link to CONTENT, because those static links were not
persistent (the pointers could change). I don't know whether this issue
has been resolved in later releases. We opted instead to link using a
search string that points to a persistent and unique number for the item
using the <daogrp><daoloc> combination of elements.

But I think what Kathlene is talking about is actually using CONTENTdm to
search the EAD finding aids themselves.
