Librarian and Library Technician, Marshall Center Library, Garmisch, Germany.
The Marshall Center Research Library, a Dept of Defense library located in Garmisch, Germany, will be filling two positions, a Librarian position which requires a Masters Degree in Library Science, and a Library Technician position which requires library experience, but not an MSLS. Both positions require fluency in Russian and English, and  U.S. citizenship. Both positions will be advertised at the following website: <http://jobsearch.usajobs.opm.gov/>  The Librarian position is currently being advertised and closes 8 June. The Library Technician position will be advertised within the next month. The Librarian position is a GS-1410-11 grade, with salary between $44,136 and $57,375 and requires knowledge and experience in cataloging books in Russian and English using OCLC. This position is also responsible for reference, book selection and database instruction in Russian.
The Library Technician position is a GS-1411-07 grade with a salary between $29,821 and $38,767 and is responsible for acquisitions of Russian language materials, circulation, basic reference, and copy cataloging in Russian. Both positions include moving and housing allowances and begin in July/August.
