2004 Information Technology Update

The E-Government Act of 2002: A Progress Report

Since June 2003, the Federal CIO Council's Interagency Committee on Government Information (ICGI) has been working on how to implement Section 207 of the E-Government Act of 2002. The goal of the E-Government Act is to make it easier for all Americans to find and use government information and services through improved accessibility, usability and preservation.

Hear ICGI's recommendations to comply with this law and join with members of the three ICGI Work Groups (including invited representatives from OMB, NARA and GSA) to discuss the direction and development of policies and guidelines related to:

* Categorization of Information
* Electronic Records Policy
* Web Content Management and Standards
* Public Domains
