[Please excuse duplicate messages.] The OAC Working Group Metadata Standards Subcommittee is pleased to announce the release of the "OAC Best Practice Guidelines for EAD, Version 2.0" (OAC BPG EAD; http://www.cdlib.org/inside/diglib/guidelines/bpgead). These updated guidelines are based on the EAD Version 2002 DTD, and they owe part of their current content and form to the RLG Best Practice Guidelines for EAD finding aids. As explained in the OAC "News and Features" pages (http://www.cdlib.org/inside/projects/oac/news/), the Version 2.0 guidelines will become effective and supercede the Version 1.1 guidelines in January 2005.
