I use the Explain ZeeRex record as a config file, thereby avoiding the
issue.

Sure it does.
   <index ralph:filePath="/home/ralph/files/index1.idx">
is quite permissable in ZeeRex.  You just have to be willing to either
strip it before sending, or share it with the world.
