Friends -
I'll be attending ALA in Boston - if you or anyone you know would be interested in this position and would like to talk to me there, I'd be very happy to set it up!

Digital Library Technologies Engineer:
The Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Research Library is seeking a creative team player to join our Library Without Walls digital library software development team.  The Research Library is a pioneering and internationally renowned technical library that develops leading-edge electronic products and services to support the Laboratory's world-class science.

Several aspects of the LANL Research Library make it a unique and exciting place to work: As one of three Library Without Walls teams, the Development Team has responsibilities that include creating and maintaining tools for digital library applications, and working in-depth with a wide variety of metadata formats to ingest various data streams into our local repository.  The team also works closely with the Library Without Walls Prototyping Team, testing and scaling cutting edge DL frameworks and software, and integrating successful components into production systems.  Challenges include utilizing and integrating new technologies that must scale well in a rapidly changing environment. Applicants should have experience working with digital collections and be comfortable working with a variety of metadata formats using existing and emerging industry standards.
Master’s degree in Information Science or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
