Head, Cataloging & Metadata Services
Stanford University Libraries & Academic Information Resources is
looking for a dynamic, innovative librarian to fill the position of Head,
Cataloging & Metadata Services. The successful candidate will lead a
department of over 30 FTE, dedicated to providing bibliographic access to
SULAIR's collections through traditional as well as innovative means. The
Head of Cataloging & Metadata Services will be a key player in the
ongoing development of systems, policies, and standards in order to
provide an excellent discovery and retrieval environment for SULAIR
users. We invite applications from those who have a firm grasp of today's
information discovery and delivery landscape, have a vision of how
traditional methods of bibliographic control and new technology-based
approaches can be combined to deliver effective services, and are
energized by the challenges of leading a large department in a dynamic,
