Michael -- thanks, but I think I've figured it out (see my other post). On another note, are you the Michael Fox that wrote the EAD Cookbook? If so, thank you thank you! It's a *very* useful document; I'm going to suggest we use it as the basis for the tagging specs that we're developing, with minor changes for our specific needs/practices. You will have saved us much time and it will be a much more thorough spec than it would have been otherwise :) Michele ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fox, Michael" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Tuesday, May 31, 2005 8:34 AM Subject: Re: another eadcb#.xsl question...column headings Michele, The way the stylesheet is intended to work is that it should display the <thead> at the point of markup. It's hard to deduce what's not working for you without seeing your markup. If you could send me the EAD file you are working with, I will try to figure out what is going wrong. The same applies to the question you had about dsc15. I'm trying to find the location that works with the style sheet we're using. So far I have found one location where they do show up in the output after transformation but they show up incorrectly. The Tag Library would be a good place to start your search. For some of them, "the position and text of column headings are determined by the presence of <thead> elements encoded in the description" [EAD cookbook]. Where in the description do these theads go? I've tried them several hundred places (well, it SEEMS like several hundred) and I'm not getting any output. Any ideas? An example would be lovely... Michele SU Libraries
