Hello EAD listserv, My repository is using XMetaL versions 2.1 and 3.0, and I am in the process of editing/changing our encoding tools to accommodate EAD 2002. One of the nice features of XMetaL is its "Attribute Inspector," which tells you all the available attribute types and values available for a particular tag, according to the dtd you're using. The eadlocal.ent file I'm using has various attribute values for some tags defined for consortial use (the NCEAD consortium), including <container>, and my ead.dtd file is set to "include" rather than "ignore" the eadlocal.ent. The problem I'm having is that the Attribute Inspector isn't grabbing the attribute values from the eadlocal.ent. For example, when I put my cursor next to a <container>, the only attribute value it displays is the current value attached to that particular <container>. It doesn't display the entire list of values. Has anyone else figured out how to point XMetaL to the eadlocal.ent?
