Cindy,

Please take a look at the Copyright section of the Federal Librarians
Handbook http://www.loc.gov/flicc/pubs/federalhandbook.pdf
<http://www.loc.gov/flicc/pubs/federalhandbook.pdf> Chapter VII Copyright
Management.
You might find some insights there.

Subject: Copyright question - public requests

I had a question about copyright regarding answering requests from the
public.

Do you have a formal policy regarding answering requests for articles from
members of the public?
Do you only answer requests from other libraries? or from individuals also?

Any comments on copyright compliance in this scenario would be appreciated.

Thanks,

- Cindy Rankin
