WANTED INFORMATION RESOURCE OFFICER NJVC WASHINGTON, DC CLEARANCE: ACTIVE TS/SCI Position Description Responsible for providing library support to NGA analysts and external customers in NGA's Reference, Maps and/or Imagery libraries located in Bethesda, Reston and the Washington Navy Yard Duties and qualifications Organizing, maintaining, and retrieving items in specialized library collections (books, serials, documents, hardcopy and digital maps, and /or imagery) to meet the needs of intelligence community Providing customer service to library patrons by using all-source collections and databases, ordering materials from DLA, DIA, CIA and other sources, obtaining interlibrary loan materials/documents from other government libraries, and/or the dissemination of time-sensitive imagery and other geospatial products Supporting the Librarians and Reference/ Research Officers in providing reference and research support to analysts and other Intelligence Community components, including designing and implementing search strategies in proprietary or commercial databases and analyzing, synthesizing and collecting information to meet customer requirements Maintaining circulation services of all items in NGA collections through the charge and discharge of library material; maintaining patron records, routing periodicals, shelving and re-shelving, and delivering items requested Cataloging, inputting and correcting data in the Voyager online Integrated Library System Maintaining collections and providing services unique to duty location. .Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree or demonstrated work-related experience Strong customer service ethic. Flexible and resourceful self-starter Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
