Speakers:

Steve Newcomb (Coolheads Consulting) was a member of the steering committee for  "EP2010: The Future of
Electronic Publishing Towards 2010", a study funded by the European Union that recommended ways to
maximize Europe's competitive posture in publishing, content, and knowledge.   As a leader in the technology
of knowledge transparency, Steve is connected with projects of several national governments that are pioneering
enhancements in citizens' access to public information.  Learn about the smart content vision for a vigorous,
diverse, and free European knowledge economy, and steps to achieve it.

Mike Daconta (Oberon Associates, Inc.) will share his experiences making "data smarter" to improve
information sharing as the former Metadata Program Manager for the Department of Homeland Security and
as chief architect of Defense Intelligence Agency's Virtual Knowledge Base.  Learn about his work on the recently
published Federal Enterprise Architecture Data Reference Model 2.0.
