FLICC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT MA2006-22
FEDLINK Spring Membership Meeting
May 17, 2006
9:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. (Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. There is no entrance to the Library of Congress prior to 8:30 a.m.)

Join your colleagues to learn about the latest approach to preservation in the era of mass digitization. Experts at the National Library of Medicine, the University of Maryland and Preservation Technologies, L.P., will discuss how current models for preserving collections within local institutions and broader communities will have to change and whether these institutions will be able to sustain bothlong-term costs of preserving print collections and digital materials.

Representatives from FLICC working groups will offer program updates and staff members will review the results of the recent FLICC/FEDLINK member and vendor surveys. Carol Bursik, Chair of the FLICC Budget and Finance Working Group, will then present the proposed Fiscal Year 2007 FLICC/FEDLINK budget.
