Subject: Need SRW/
We are involved in the development of an open source project ASK funded by JISC, which can perform a federated search, compliant with a range of internationally recognised interoperability specifications like z39.50s, SRW/
Currently, this tool is searching just a limited set of z39.50s servers (mainly oxford university library catalogue) but we also need to search more SRW/
Therefore, we would like to set up this tool to search your database so that the users can build their reading lists that includes references to items that you store. To be able to do this, we need your SRW/
Finally to emphasize, this is an open source development, all code and the connection configuration file will be made freely available through sourceforge and our own project web wiki:
If you would like to talk more about this I or my manager (Howard Noble) can call you at a time convenient to you.
