NLS Operations Alert No. 06-33 DATE : December 18, 2006 TO : Network Libraries FROM : Michael Martys Subject : Network Library Services web site Some network libraries are reporting difficulty in logging into the Network Library Services web site (PICS) since the PICS software upgrade took place. The database is working correctly. The problem is the result of outdated cache information on each individual network library personal computer. To ensure that you correctly access the Network Library Services web site, please clear the cache on your personal computer's Internet browser (Netscape, Explorer, Mozilla). If you are not familiar with how to clear the cache, please contact your internal IT department for instructions. Each Internet browser handles caches differ ently and instructions depend upon the browser your library uses. Once the cache is clear, network libraries will be able to access the Network Library Services web site without difficulty.
