Join your colleagues for a briefing on using the Government Printing
Office (GPO) contract to procure library binding. (For library managers
and staff, this morning session will focus on the details of binding
preparation, shipment and receiving processes.

Featured speakers include:

o  Werner Haun, Head of Collections Care at the Library of Congress,
who will discuss library binding options and highlight key
elements in the contract. 
 
o  A representative from GPO, who will summarize the contract
requirements and describe the responsibilities of both vendor and
library.

o  Eric Fairfield, The HF Group, the binding vendor, who will discuss
the bindery operation, how to communicate your orders, and the changing
nature of the binding industry.

The program will conclude with a question and answer session for
