Thanks for the response Ana. I appreciate your help. The LC examples I was given by my cataloger as "proof" that it was okay are n2004-106142, n2005178471, n97107053, n97072158, n97905693. I was glad to know I hadn't totally lost it in the cataloging department.
I just got back from a disappointing work trip to Paris. I had to look at a collection there that was pretty unexciting and less than what it was billed as. On top of that I got sick early on which made it hard to really enjoy the city. I know it's a favorite of yours. Had a very good meal at a restaurant recommended by Tom Sietsma last year and another good one at a restaurant I have been to before that appeared in this month's Bon Appetit.

Otherwise, life continues on its course.
Hope you are well.

Hello Manon,
As of Sept. 31, 2006 there were exactly 46,819 NARs coded 008/10 "d" in
the LC/NACO Authority File. I don't think this number has grown
significantly since then.

Does anyone have figures on the number of
AACR2-compatible records currently in the authority file? Just
curious... :)
