Call for Library Handouts --Re: Join us for FEDS: A Day in the Life... --- "Careers in Federal Libraries" program during ALA Conference, Friday, June 22, 2007

Colleagues,

You are invited to bring or send handouts about your federal libraries for this "Careers in Federal Libraries" program during the ALA Conference in Washington, DC, on Friday, June 22, 2007.

This program, which is being co-sponsored by FAFLRT, FLICC, LSU, DCLA, DC SLA, and Library Associates, will be held in the Mumford Room of the Madison Building at the Library of Congress.  We will have tables available for your library literature, and you are encouraged to attend and field questions from library students and potential FEDS during the break and buffet.  However, if you cannot attend the event in person, we will add your handouts to the display area.

Therefore, if you are unable to attend the event on June 22, you are invited to send or deliver your library handouts in advance to the FLICC staff.  Since traditional mail receipt can be problematic at LC, Roberta Shaffer, FLICC Executive Director, is encouraging you to bring your material to one of the following events at the Library of Congress: the FEDLINK Spring Membership Meeting on Thursday, May 24; or the FLICC Membership Meeting on Thursday, June 14.

If you have any questions about delivery to FLICC, please contact 202-707-4800.

I hope that many of you will be participating in this program to promote our federal libraries.  Please see the registration information below.

Regards,

Helen Q. Sherman
