GALE (A Cengage Learning Company) in partnership with the British Library, is making primary source history obtainable and eminently searchable through a number of new digital collections. On Thursday, May 15, Gale Product Manager, Scott Dawson will deliver a presentation on the archive products that he has helped to produce with his colleagues at BL. Relive history with "19th Century British Library Newspapers," "17th and 18th Century Burney Collection Newspapers," and "19th Century U.K. Periodicals."

Learn more about the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) Digitisation Programme which has created the research environment for these projects, and also get a peek at the forthcoming "State Papers Online 1509-1714" collection of British Government documents from a period of time when the King or Queen acted as Prime Minister as well as Monarch.

Primary Source research about the British Empire is only a click away through the efforts, expertise, and resources of GALE and the British Library.

See you then,
Sincerely,
Jim
