The 639-3 code set incorporates the 639-2/T code elements, and only lists the 639-2/B for completeness of reference. I don't believe there is any incompatibility with ISO 639-3 caused by this proposal. The macrolanguage Serbo-Croatian is [hbs] and has [hrv] Croatian, [srp] Serbian, and [bos] Bosnian as its member languages (the terminological code elements). -Joan Michael Everson <[log in to unmask]> Sent by: ISO 639 Joint Advisory Committee <[log in to unmask]> 2008-05-29 09:09 AM Please respond to ISO 639 Joint Advisory Committee <[log in to unmask]> To [log in to unmask] cc Subject Re: request to change codes for Serbian and Croatian Please don't do it, and cite compatibility with 639-3 as a reason. -- Michael Everson * http://www.evertype.com
