Any one with a valuable record collection needs to give careful
thought to where it ends up. I recall many years ago finding a record
collection disintegrating in the damp and dusty basement basement of
a library. It had been given to the library. A quick look at what was
in albums that were falling apart revealed numerous rare and valuable
records. If in doubt, it's better to sell records through a
specialist dealer. Someone who pays money for rarities is much more
likely t take care of them.
