*My apologies for cross-postings*

Now that the 2008 SAA meeting in San Francisco is behind us, it's time
to start working on session and pre-conference proposals for next year's
annual meeting in Austin!

Next year's SAA meeting in Austin (August 11-16, 2009) will be
co-sponsored with the Council of State Archivists (CoSA) and the theme
is Sustainable Archives. The program committee is especially interested
in proposals related to next year's theme of sustainability, government
records, and proposals that address diversity in the field and
international perspectives. However, proposals on all topics are welcome
and encouraged. The proposal deadline is October 8th. For additional
information, please refer to the following:

Also, please don't forget that sections/roundtables/groups can endorse
up to two proposals, so if your proposal would be of particular interest
to one of these groups, please consider submitting your proposal to the
appropriate section/roundtable leadership for consideration.

Please don't wait to put your session proposal together. October 8th
will be here before you know it!
