I am also curious about this, especially since I'm teaching series to my cataloging students next Friday! I am teaching the proposed abandonment of 440 and using 490 1 and 8XX only, although it's been difficult to find anything definitive about how this will work. I am explaining how 440 and 490 used to work, and providing information about the subfields used in the 440, since there will be records that still contain the 440. -Nanette Nanette Donohue - [log in to unmask] 2008-2009 NMRT Past President AIM: nanetteamplified Yahoo Messenger: amplifiedtorock On Mon, Sep 29, 2008 at 6:51 AM, Kamoji, Linda J <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Hi.
