COS (Community of Science) Scholar Universe

COS is the leading global resource for hard-to-find information critical to scientific research and other projects across all disciplines.

The major focus of this presentation will be on COS Scholar Universe providing details on the:

 * nearly 2 million profiles of active full-time faculty-authors, researchers and scholars
 *   international and multidisciplinary coverage
 * data sources from multiple sources, including the scholars themselves
 * editorially controlled and regularly updated records to assure accurate and current information
 * search capabilities including a demonstration of keyword-searchable, with faceted search results to help searchers explore beyond their current spheres of knowledge

Additional COS products that will be discussed are:

COS Funding Opportunities is the largest, most comprehensive database of available funding with more than 25,000 records representing over $33 billion in funding. Opportunities are offered by sponsors throughout the world for recipients throughout the world and include private foundations, public agencies, national and local governments, corporations and more.

PapersInvited is by far the most exhaustive database of calls for papers/posters for conferences or publications. PapersInvited was conceived and developed to assist those numerous Scientists, Corporate Researchers, Professors and Research Students who have had a difficult time in tracking the 'Calls for Papers' from various Professional bodies, Universities and Journals. PapersInvited also assists the academic and research constituency who would like to keep abreast of the latest developments/research by attending conferences.

Conferences Papers Index extends the benefit of PapersInvited by creating a citation record of all the papers and poster sessions presented at major scientific meetings around the world.

 Diane J. Hoffman, Senior Product Manager will be conducting the session:
