Does anyone know if Balkanton (former state-run label of Bulgaria) is still in existence? I know they lasted beyond 1989, and were possibly privatized, but the last reference I can find to them issuing recordings is in the late 90s. Many of the other Eastern European state-run labels (Polskie Nagranie Muza, Electrecord, RTB) are still in business and have a web presence, but I can turn up nothing of Balkanton.
