Apologies for cross postings
Dates: Wednesday - Friday, August 5 -

Host: Yale University, New Haven, CT
The Eastern CONTENTdm User Group is looking
for individuals to serve on panel discussions or to talk about their current
CONTENTdm projects in a virtual poster session at its upcoming user group
meeting.
Panel Discussions
Currently, the programming committee is
putting together panels on the following topics:
- Metadata Decisions: How did you decide and
evaluate a metadata scheme for your digital project?
- EAD in CONTENTdm: What are some of the
benefits and challenges to including EAD finding aids in CONTENTdm?
- Workflow Decisions: How did you design your
digitization project?
What were some of the lessons you learned
regarding digitizing, documenting, or working with CONTENTdm?
We are looking to find 3-4 people for each
panel. Each participant will get 10-15 minutes to speak followed by a
group discussion.
Virtual Poster Session
The programming committee is also seeking 5-6
individuals for a virtual poster session at the meeting. This would be an
opportunity to showcase a project or to seek advice from other users on a
problem you are facing. Participants will have 5 minutes to explain their
project or issue to the entire user group before a break sessions to talk more
in depth about their project. Participants can have a formal presentation
they would like to show during the breakout session or simply demonstrate the
project on their live site.
If you are interested in participating,
please contact David Conners at [log in to unmask]
