Fall 09 FEDLINK Membership Meeting “Options for Virtual Reference” Wednesday, November 4, 2009 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Please join us for a brief update on FEDLINK activities and a chance to hear from colleagues about how they are currently performing virtual reference. Speakers will include: ~ Phillip Ip, Army Corp. of Engineers will discuss participation in the U.S. Army QuestionPoint group. ~ Representatives from The National Defense University will describe their experience using an internal system for handling virtual reference. ~ Jennifer McMahan and Jan Oberla, Department of Justice will discuss their current use of QuestionPoint. ~ Neal Kaske, NOAA will explore the idea of a “federal system” for virtual reference. The last hour will be a question/answer session - an opportunity for members and presenters to discuss, what works and what does not. Topics of conversation will cover collaboration, work staff buy-in/training and marketing.
