The Archives of American Art has launched a new and improved display of its finding aids<http://www.aaa.si.edu/collections/finding%20aids/> for collections that have corresponding selected digital "highlights."

From the finding aid list, one can link to the Full Record (Collection Record), the Finding Aid, or Images. Now, users can also link to the associated digital images directly from within the finding aid. Since these are "selected highlights", they are not accessed via folder headings, but on the finding aid "home page." For example, check out the Charles Henry Alston finding aid.<http://www.aaa.si.edu/collections/findingaids/alstchar.htm>

This is the new finding aid display for collections that have NOT been fully digitized for AAA's Collections Online<http://www.aaa.si.edu/collectionsonline/> interface. For collections fully digitized, the finding aid still serves as the primary online presentation and navigational tool.
