It might have been me. I got a copy of this set
maybe 6-7 years ago and was asking some questions
on 78-L about it. One of my records is missing and
one has a crack from the hole to the edge. The upshot
was (this may have come from Dr. Biel) that these
were pressed on shellac without a lot of filler,
and therefore were quite fragile, and that most
sets have at least one record missing as a result.
