Hi Anna,

Try putting the XML processing instructions before the DOCTYPE declaration.
Not sure if that makes a difference, but I haven't seen processing
instructions come anywhere but the top of the document, directly below the
XML declaration.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="ead_divs.xsl"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="ead_divs.css"?>
<!DOCTYPE ead PUBLIC "+//ISBN 1-931666-00-8//DTD ead.dtd (Encoded Archival
Description (EAD) Version 2002)//EN" "ead.dtd">

Here is something else you can try:

Put the XML, XSL, and CSS files on the desktop of your personal computer.
Open the XML file in Firefox or some other browser that supports processing
instructions (I assume they all do at this point). If the EAD guide renders
as styled HTML, it's not a problem with your XSL file but perhaps something
with the server configuration.
