NLS Operations Alert No. 10-17 DATE : March 2, 2010 TO : Network libraries FROM : Robert Axtell Subject : MARC record sets To meet the needs of libraries that wish to have catalog records for all books on the Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) site, NLS will issue MARC record sets for digital talking books that will not be issued on cartridge. The record distribution will begin with a large set containing all retrospective titles that have been added to BARD since the last retrospective copy allotment. Update sets for retrospective titles added to BARD each month will be issued thereafter. The sets will be available in full and brief formats.
