So I looked on amazon.com, and found <http://www.amazon.com/Fela-Kuti/

Where does one start?

With an artist as prolific as Fela, there are going to be disagreements as to which are the "best" or "most important" records. But my personal favorites are (in no particular order) "Expensive Sh!t," "Sorrow, Tears and Blood," "Zombie," "Beasts of No Nation" and "Coffin for Head of State." "Sakara" is a pretty good representation of his early 70's style, which is a little more uptempo and has more Yoruba lyrics.
