In honor of its 10th anniversary, USA.gov/GobiernoUSA.gov are proud to announce a new and improved site and the premier of the Government Apps Gallery. Please take a moment to check out the sites and let us know what you think! We're eager for suggestions, comments, or questions. You can contact us at http://www.usa.gov/questions. Among the new features are: - Look & Feel: a new, clean look and feel that reduces the feeling of clutter and creates an open, focused interface - Enhanced Search: With a new search that is up to 9 times faster and more accurate, we're featuring search prominently on our pages and we now display the 5 most popular search terms daily. - Government Apps Gallery: We're proud to showcase some of the most innovative native apps and mobile-friendly websites from across the federal government. The apps featured are just the beginning and we're thrilled that the government is going mobile! - Popular Content in English and Spanish: We've kept all of our most popular content like Online Services, Contact Your Government, and the A-Z index of government agencies. Now accessible through mega-dropdown menus that appear on every page, this content is easier to find through search engines or entry points other than the homepage. What's next for USA.gov/GobiernoUSA.gov: - Continuous Usability: We'll continue our commitment to usability with full scale and quick & dirty usability testing on a regular basis. - Challenges, Dialogs, Contests: In the spirit of participation, USA.gov & GobiernoUSA.gov will continue to host challenges, dialogs, and contests and learn from the wisdom of the crowds. - Curated Content Strategy: We're rethinking the USA.gov Content Strategy with the hopes of working more closely with our colleagues in other agencies. Our mission is to make sense of government information, and we realize the power of the web manager community to do just that. If you have any questions or comments about the new design or Government Apps Gallery, please don't hesitate to contact us -- and please don't be shy with suggestions or comments. Happy 4th of July!
