Don’t miss MARC21 in Your Library Part 2: MARC Coding, the Core Codes and Their Functions

Register now for OCLC’s August 2-4 offering of MARC21 Part 2. An introduction to MARC21 and how it is meant to work in a library automation system, this course provides an overview of MARC standards and how those standards tie in with our cataloging rules (AACR) to help catalogers create effective data. This course is intended for directors, staff of reference or acquisitions teams, and copy catalogers, as well as beginning and experienced catalogers. This offering includes three, two-hour live online sessions from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon (Eastern Time), on August 2, 3 and 4.

Know & Go: OCLC Policies Directory Redesign

As of December 2009, OCLC’s Policies Directory took on a new look. This session will describe the changes and how they will affect use of the directory for locating lending policy information or editing your own institution’s record. Participants will learn how to describe changes in Policy Record layouts, practice searching and locating policy information, and edit practice records in the new interface.
