For what it's worth ...

I very much enjoyed Cary Ginnell's book "Hot Jazz for Sale" and the accompanying CD is great too. It 
was very interesting for me to learn about the West Coast hot jazz revival in the late 40's because 
I have a bunch of the revival material recorded in NYC, which came right after the trend started in 
CA. The Jazz Man material was new to me. And what a great story about that record store!
